How do you take a screenshot inside Windows?
When you need to take a screenshot (a picture) of your computer screen, there are two options: The first is to use the Print Screen key on your keyboard, but this will only save the image of your current screen. The second option is to use the snipping tool in Windows. This application allows you to capture a specific area of your screen and save it as an image file. It even includes tools for annotating the picture once it's taken. To get started using it, follow these steps: To access the snipping tool, follow these steps:
- Enter Windows+R into your computer's "run" box or click on the start menu and select run from there.
- Type "snipping tool" (minus quotes) into the run box that appears and then press enter on your keyboard.
- When you see a new window open up, click on New and then drag a rectangle around the area of your screen that you want to capture.
- Once you've done that, select what kind of snip you want to take by clicking on one of those buttons in the middle of the program's toolbar: Free-form snip, Rectangular snip
